Delta personnel were polite and helpful from boarding to de-planing. Both flights were full, so on the way out to SFO, they had to check our carry-ons for us. The agent handled it quickly, and our bags were waiting for us when we got to SFO. Ride was like a scary roller coaster over Alabama and Arkansas due to the horrible weather that spawned the tornadoes, so the pilot kept trying to fly farther north to avoid it. Went on for nearly an hour. Pilot updated every 10 minutes or so, although it was difficult to understand what he was saying because the intercom was lousy. On the bright side, the flight back to Atlanta was lovely and blissfully free of that roller-coaster ride. And a great touchdown. Also, the flight attendant helped my daughter and me squeeze our carry-ons overhead. Much appreciated.

5.5 hour flight with no inflight movie. No pillows. No blankets. Out of airline control, but 3 separate screaming children.

I received excellent value for my travel dollar. This flight served all of my purposes very well. I was especially impressed with the return of my checked bag at SFO after the flight. It was there five minutes after I arrived at the carousel.

Technology advances are great - eboarding passes and the DELTA app for the iPhone - but flying Delta now is air mass transit. It's obvious they've schooled all employees in uberfriendliness, but that can't make up for cabin service that's sub par. Only offering peanuts, pretzels or cookies on a 5-hour flight! Are they kidding?!

I just want Delta to know that I experienced the worst experience I ever had flying Delta. On the way to San Francisco, we boarded the plane, and everything seemed like it was moving smoothly until we sat on the plane for one hour past the time we were supposed to take off. The pilot informed us that the landing gear light was on and saying it was dysfunctional. We were FINALLY informed that the maintenance crew could not fix the problem and we were instructed to get off the plane with all of our belongings and they were going to find us another plane. We waited for another hour before we found another functional plane and had to re-board and do the process all over again. We finally took off almost 3 hours later. If that wasn't bad enough, on my way back to Atlanta, I was supposed to depart from San Francisco at noon. We boarded this plane and sat on this plane for another hour delay. This time the plane wouldn't receive fuel from the trucks. The computer system that tells the fuel tanks to open was dysfunctional. We waited and hour and a half before taking off this time. I've flown Delta before and never had this type of problem, but to have 2 major problems like this in the same trip really irritated me and I don't know if I will choose to fly with Delta again. Airfarewatchdog- I enjoy your services and options. I thank you and will continue to use your services provided. Thank You, Ashlynn Wade

I'm not usually a complainer but a lot of things aren't working about flying these days. First of all, we were checked in ahead of time and only needed to check bags, which we were excited that there are separate lines for. So far so good. Unfortunately the line we were in suddenly lost the person servicing it, who went on break, saying they'd be right back, but didn't reappear, forcing us to cut into another line of people who had been waiting. OK, well whatever. Then on the runway waiting to take off, the plane suddenly filled with jet fuel fumes, causing my face to go numb. I looked around to see if anyone else was noticing or maybe expiring silently. My husband and I had to stuff napkins into our nostrils to avoid asphyxiation. No one was complaining so maybe they're all on drugs and don't care about air quality, but I can tell you that it was awful! The flight was fine, but what has happened to cabin service? All I can say is that the flight attendants all seemed to be suffering from PMS and only answered questions with a curt yes or no minus the smile. Woohoo, flying is fun. We did like the Boeing 767, the seats were comfy and the personal screens were cool. The flight arrived on time and the only real hassle was at the car rental counter....but that's another story

Remember to take your headphones, a good book, or laptop, with you. The food is expensive, so take your lunch or dinner sandwich or salad on board as well.

I had a great trip back from AirTran when I traveled from San Francisco to ATL. Even the trip going was good. The times I have used this airline I have had no problems. This time, the flight was very full so they gave me a free upgrade to business class. I was very appreciative and the service was great! I will probably book business class from now on when I fly to the West Coast. Unlike other airlines, business class on Air Tran seems to be affordable and I plan to make Air Tran my first airline of choice for flying.

Upon arrival at SFO I went to the AirTran counter to upgrade to business class on the return trip to ATL. There was no agent at the counter and after waiting 5 minutes, a hollow produced one from the back room. Her demeanor was one of not wanting to be bothered. On our return to SFO from Carmel, There were approximately 20 passengers, with luggage to be checked, waiting at the counter and NO AGENTS!!!! After a wait of approximately 15-20 minutes, 3 showed up simultaneously from the back room. None were smiling. I wonder if AirTran employees are a disgruntled lot? They sure need supervision in San Fran!!
