    WHAT A TRIP!

What a trip! Are you kidding me US Air? I gave you a second chance after 10 years. The last time I flew I swore never again. I was a little desperate and decided to give you another try. You want us to pay for everything even the chance to pick seats so we could sit together as a family. We boarded our flight in Phoenix, late after being told there were seat problems. We have a nice flight attendant who asked another passenger to relocate to another seat so our family could sit together. While still remarking on how nice that was our son interupts us. He tells us he has no seat belt. My husband has to now sit in another seat because we are already late and there is no time to deal with it according to different attendant. I look over and ask if this was the seat issue that delayed the flight departure. The attendant points to another seat that has no back and says, "That one was the problem." Well, it did not feel very safe being on a plane with so many issues. If they fail to take care of repairs to seats what's going on with the mechanical parts of the plane? Are they running a safe fleet of planes? They are charging for everything and giving very little in return. Beware to heavy breathers! They may began a surcharge for those who use more oxygen! NEVER! NEVER! NEVER! AGAIN. Frontier on the other hand was great going back. You would think they would partner together better.

How Do You Lose My Seat?

I know that times are tough out there, but the fastest way to lose a customer is to treat them poorly. I tried to check in on line, but found that the airline couldn't give me a seat (even though I was assigned one when I purchased the ticket). I immediately called in and spoke to an agent. They gave me 18E. When I got to the airport, I went directly to the departure gate and stood for five minutes while two gate agents discussed the weather in Panama City, rather than even saying Hi to me. After five minutes, I got a hello from one and asked if I could check in and get a boarding pass. She then tells me that she can't help me and to come back in thirty minutes. What the ???? Anyway...I return in about thirty minutes to check in and am laughed at when I tell the agent that I was assigned 18E. She said that the seat was already taken by someone else. I explained. Bottom line...she just prints a boarding card with 38B and says "next passenger". Being a skymiles client, I asked for a supervisor. She told me that she couldn't do a thing. Overall....I felt like the airline let me down. I was moved up after ten more minutes of waiting to 29A, even though what I needed was an aisle seat so that I could get out of my seat frequently due to a health issue. Not sure if I will return to Delta!
