As many flights are from Anchorage, this was a red eye to Portland, Oregon. I had recently had shoulder surgery and wanted a comfortable flight and so my husband and I flew first class. Unfortunately there was a problem with the jet way and we had to travel down stairs and walk out on the tarmac. We felt that AK Airlines did everything possible to assist any people with disabilities or difficulties using the alternate gate. The flight both going to and returning from Portland were comfortable and included either a full meal or in the case of the late night flight a tasty salad and later a light dessert. Flight attendants were attentive and provided water and drinks.
