This was my first experience with Air Tran Airlines. The staff was very, very kind and went out of their way to make sure I was taken care of after I volunteered to give up my seat since the flight was oversold. I am not impressed with The 717 Boeing plane they use. The seats are small, uncomfortable and are set too close with no knee room. They would be better to use 737's and give more seat space and also carry-on space in the bins. They gave me entrance on boarding #1 for some reason and I was able to find carry-on space, those who were at end of line had problem locating enough space. The wii fi they say is available did not work except some were able to access FaceBook. Overall, I give them good rating and will fly again with Air Tran.

Very economical to fly First/Business Class with AirTran. Not sure why more people didn't. there were open seat in business and if you do the math, it only cost me $49 to upgrade since there was NO luggage fees. Would I fly with them again? > > > Absolutely!

all was fairly good except for the boarding in Atlanta, we sat on the plane for a long time while they filled the plane with standbys and mostly employees. We can't rate the baggage claim as we carried on all items. Otherwise, uneventful flights.
