Sun Country airlines just announced an amazing sale for ALL coach seats on domestic flights for $49 each way. The sale, which runs from Sunday, November 25 through Monday, November 26, 2007, is good for travel from Thursday, November 29 through Friday, December 14, 2007.
The $49 fare is valid for travel to all of Sun Country's domestic destinations: Dallas/Ft. Worth, Ft. Myers, South Padre Island (Harlingen), Las Vegas, Laughlin, Los Angeles, Miami, New York, Orlando, Palm Springs, Phoenix, San Diego, San Francisco, Seattle, St. Petersburg/Tampa, and Washington D.C.
Flights can be booked online at www.suncountry.com by 11:59 p.m. CST Monday, November 26. See our Minneapolis page for quick links to some of these fares.
We really wish the airlines would stop doing this. They're making our job much harder here at airfarewatchdog.com, plus they're eating into our revenue stream (airlines don't pay us to send them traffic). We should just ignore deals like this. Oh, but then we'd be like the other airfare comparison and prediction sites. Oops, forgot.
I am not surprised when I see these 'private sales' on airline web sites, but I am surprised that the mainstream media isn't reporting about this trend. Some newspapers and other media outlets have marketing agreements with some third party airfare sites. Perhaps that explains it.
Anyway: Air Canada is offering some pretty slick fares between Canada and the US. Purchase by Nov. 25, and travel by Jan. 31 2008, with, of course, the usual peak holiday blackouts. We were unable to find these fares on third party sites.
For example, Toronto/Boston is $96 each way plus tax in this sale, or $284 CDN including tax, round trip.
Using the same dates of Dec 1 depart, Dec 8 return, fares were $357 RT CDN for the exact same flights on Travelocity.ca
But, same dates on Travelocity.ca for nonstop flights, $357 RT including tax:
OK, it's really business class on EOS Airlines, but we've flown first on British Airways several times on this route, and honestly EOS is just as good, some might say better, than traditional first class. We flew EOS recently, and it's unlike anything else. Only 48 passengers on a big 757, with extremely comfortable fully horizontal lie flat beds, enthusiastic flight attendants, great food, and a quick, painless boarding and deplaning process. EOS flies between JFK and Stansted Airport in London.
Here's the deal:
Purchase by Nov. 23, 2007; travel outbound Dec 17-Jan 4 and return Dec 23 to Jan 9. The fare is non refundable and there's a $350 change fee and 25% cancellation fee. Fare is $999 each way plus tax. Normal full fares are $8000 round-trip, although no one probably ends up paying that (they also have a two for one offer: buy the $8000 fare and two of you travel for that price, effectively lowering the fare to $4000 each).
But $2000 RT is the true bargain. Break open the piggy bank and experience something very different in commercial aviation.

As always, Allegiant's fares can all be used one way and all service is nonstop. You can only access Allegiant's flight and booking details/restrictions by going to their site, www.allegiantair.com. You will not find Allegiant represented on any of the travel search engines.
This sale pops up often. Just use promo code 24HOURS and you'll get $24 off any Spirit fare. As the fine print reminds you, you always get at least $5 off all the time when you book on Spirit vs. a third party site, so you're really just getting $19 extra discount. Travel through June 30 next year.
