IcelandAir says "Thank You" with low R/T airfare deals.

November 25, 2008
Fares from Washington DC:

The country of Iceland has been struggling the last few months financially, and is currently suffering from one of the worst financial situations in the country's history. Sounds kind of familiar actually right? But in any event, the Scandinavian countries of Denmark, Norway and Sweden have offered Iceland the much needed financial relief that they currently need.

As a way of saying "Thank You", IcelandAir is offering round trip airfares as low as $399 round trip (before taxes and fees) to locations Oslo, Stockholm, Copenhagen and Reykjavik. U.S. travelers have been pushing Iceland to the top of their "to do" travel list ever since the U.S. dollar became so favorable in recent months. Here are some sample fares found on their website (round trip, taxes and fees included):

    • January 15  - January 22: New York (JFK) - Oslo (OSL), $471
    • January  29 - February 5: Boston (BOS) - Stockholm (ARN), $471
    • February 17 - February 22: Boston (BOS) - Reykjavik (KEF), $471
    • March 12 - March 19: New York (JFK) - Copenhagen (CPH), $475

These "Unity Fares" are good for travel through March 31, 2009 and must be booked by Thanksgiving Day, Thursday November 27, 2008. Check out IcelandAir for full details, terms and conditions.
