President George W. Bush is expected to announce plans later today that he is hoping will decrease the air traffic nightmare that occurs every year during the busy holiday season.

Bush had hinted Monday that, like last year, he will call upon The Pentagon to open two flight paths from Florida to Maine, which are usually used for military exercises, that will be designated as "Thanksgiving express lanes" for commercial airlines.

Bush is expected to touch upon this idea, and discuss efforts being made to ease holiday travel in the future, when he speaks at the Transportation Department Tuesday.
