25% off to the Caribbean via American

Jonathan Weinberg, April 11, 2008
Fares from Washington DC:

American has been pretty quiet lately on the deals front, but given their recent troubles with the FAA and cancelled flights, it looks like they may by getting aggressive again about offering some attractive deals to lure disenchanted customers back.

They are now offering 25% off flights from the US/Canada/Puerto Rico/Virgin Islands to select Caribbean destinations for travel from April 10, 2008 and June 12, 2008.  This is an excellent deal given that there are few restrictions to qualify for the promotion (which is not always the case).  The following destinations are included:

    Samana (AZS) - Dominican Repuplic
La Romana (LRM) - Dominican Republic
    Antigua (ANU)
    Anguilla (AXA)
    Bermuda (BDA)
    Barbados (BGI)
    Bonaire (BON)
    Curacao (CUR)
    Dominica (DOM)
    Freeport (FPO) - Bahamas
    Nassau (NAS) - Bahamas
    Grand Cayman (GCM)
    Grenada (GND)
    Tortola (EIS)
    Fort de France (FDF)
    St. Kitts (NEV,SKB)
    Pointe A Pitre (PTP)
    St. Maarten (SXM)
    St. Lucia (SLU, UVF)

Flights must be booked by April 12, 2008.  The 25% discount will be taken off the base fare and does not apply to taxes and fees.  The minimum base fare before discount must be $135 in order to qualify for this promotion and a 1-day minimum stay is required.

You must book via the AA.com website using promotion code DFCARPLSPG to receive the discount.
