SkyBus adds routes

Fares from Washington DC:

    SkyBus is adding routes.

The super low cost carrier is selling seats between Columbus OH and Chicopee, MA and Columbus/St. Augustine, FL and their usual $10 each way intro fares.

Where is Chicopee? It's not far from Albany NY or Hartford, CT, in western Massachusetts.  The airport is called Westover Metro Airport. This is a good airport form which to launch a visit to the lovely Berkshire Mountains, where you'll find lots of peaceful resorts and lots of cultural opportunities, among them Tanglewood and several notable museums, and the famous Canyon Ranch spa.

And the St. Augustine airport is a good alternate for Daytona Beach or Jacksonville.

We saw Amy Ziff, who fronts for Travelocity as a travel expert, on TV recently, and she seemed quite skeptical about SkyBus's business model (but then, why wouldn't she be, after all, she works for Travelocity, and SkyBus doesn't sell fares on Travelocity or anywhere else but its own site, and if all the airlines in the world followed suit, Ms. Ziff would be looking for something else to do, right?).
