Q.   My family consisting of my husband, me, and two daughters are interested in renting a two-bedroom oceanfront condo in Clearwater, Florida in August, for around $900 to 1400 for a week. However, in my web searches I am not finding condos, only hotels. Any suggestions where to look or who to contact?
    A.   Check out the St. Petersburg/Clearwater Area Convention & Visitors Bureau (727-464-7200). Under their lodging section, they have a list of vacation rental management companies and individual condo and vacation home rentals.
Q.   Our son and his fiancée want to have their wedding next year on the beach in the lower Florida Keys and exchange vows at sunset. Any suggestions on where to book this event with an intimate group of family and friends? They are considering either the month of March or June.
    A.   Take a look at Little Palm Island Resort and Spa (800/3343-8567), located on Little Torch Key and recipient of several awards over the past few years, including readers’ choice in “Condé Nast Traveler” and “Travel and Leisure,” and USA Today’s top five romantic hotels. The resort caters almost 200 weddings a year, specializing in small groups, and is located three miles off-shore in the Lower Florida Keys. It is only accessible by boat or seaplane. Among the amenities is the full-service SpaTerre, white-sand beaches, freshwater lagoon pool, sailing and fishing charters, and water sport rentals, including kayaking, windsurfing and day sailing. There’s also an on-site wedding coordinator to help organize any type of wedding, from a casual barefoot beach to a gourmet wedding. There’s one downside to this resort though – children under the age of 16 are not allowed, unless you rent the entire resort.
