I called both US Airways and United to book an awards flight on Star Alliance partner Thai Airways from Bangkok to Saigon. When I called US Airways, they had availability on every flight in every cabin for my preferred dates of travel. When I call United, they had ZERO availability for any of those flights... How can this be? Are they not equal members of the Star Alliance? I am sure Thai Airways does not give its seats to US Airways but not to United! Any idea what is going on?
