About one year from now, I will be travelling from NJ to Ojai, CA with about a dozen family members to attend a wedding. Given the current airfare trend - only up - should we consider booking now? Is there any money to be saved by booking as a group? Let me know if you think anything will improve in the next 6-12 months.

Airlines only sell tickets 330 days out and Southwest & other "budgets" 3-4 months out............the majors do offer group discounts and each web site has a link with a toll free # to inquire. The deal with the group booking is typically all must travel together on the same dates and city pairs. Not to be overlooked is a reputable travel agent at this point. They might have some packages combining air+hotel+car...........if you see some cheap-o fares and snag them then the airline goes under you might be in trouble. Don't forget that flying into Oxnard or Santa Barbara is big $$$ opt for LAX or Burbank if possible or hope United runs a sale.........
