Join Our Team: Airfare Analyst

Congrats! If you're savvy enough to have found us, then you may have what it takes to join our team. We're on the hunt for an additional airfare analyst. This is a full time position.

During the initial training period, this is a New York City-based position, but can become a home-based position. Candidates not within commuting distance of New York City are welcome to apply but must provide their own travel expenses during the training period. If desired, the candidate may also work in our affiliated offices in Boston.

Responsibilities

You'll maintain Airfarewatchdog.com's existing fare database (checking existing fares for accuracy, deleting fares that are no longer good value, and finding new low airfares) all with that famous airfarewatchdog "human touch."

To accomplish this, you'll monitor assigned airline and third party web sites on a daily basis for new fares/routes, paying attention to seat availability, rules, restrictions, etc.

You'll also stay current with airline rules, practices, media releases, and general sales and interface with our programming team to suggest future enhancements to our airfare administration software.

Requirements


Exceptional passion for finding airfares that save consumers money

Travel background helpful but not essential

Basic knowledge of web browsers and excellent PC skills (extra points for Mac experience)

Prior consumer experience (1-3 years) using major online travel agencies such as Travelocity, Orbitz, and Cheapair

Accuracy

Ability to work independently

Extra points for those with travel agency or airline reservationist experience.

After a 6-8 week paid training period on site here at our New York City offices, you'll get to work either on site or at home on a flexible schedule. We provide state of the art computer equipment to home based employees. Some weekend work is required.
