Best Airfare Deals

These are just examples of fares we have found in the past to show you what you might find when you sign up for our alerts.  Only today's fare of the day (they're all dated, btw) will likely be available. Think of this page as some of our "greatest hits" or "golden oldies"!

San Diego/Detroit $208 RT, including taxes (posted July 1, 2009)

Seats are easier to find for travel in September and onward. Available through May of 2010.

Washington DC/San Diego $188 RT, including taxes (posted June 30, 2009)

Seats are easier to find for travel in September and onward.

Salt Lake City/Orlando $153 RT, including taxes (posted June 29, 2009)

Seats are scarce for summer, but widely available for fall travel.

Atlanta/Honolulu $276 RT, including taxes (posted June 25, 2009)

Seats are easy to find for travel from late August and onward through March.

Los Angeles/Sydney $589 RT, including taxes (posted June 23, 2009)

Phoenix/San Juan PR $198 RT, including taxes (posted June 19, 2009)

For travel through November 15. Seats are limited.

Pittsburgh/New Orleans $159 RT, including taxes (posted June 17, 2009)

For travel through May of 2010.

Charlotte/Munich $493 RT, including taxes (posted June 16, 2009)

For nonstop travel through September 12.

Phoenix/Nassau, Bahamas $219 RT, including taxes (posted June 15, 2009)

Good for travel through October 31, 2009.

Los Angeles/Rio de Janeiro $487 RT, including taxes (posted June 12, 2009)

Yes, it's winter in Rio at the moment, but who cares? You won't be needing your parka. Still, if you insist on going during their summer, no prob! This fare is available well into December too.

Asheville/Orlando $89 RT, including taxes (posted June 11, 2009)

Hey Asheville, doing anything special for the 4th of July? We found this great fare to Orlando for travel over the holiday.

Buffalo/San Francisco $160 RT, including taxes (posted June 9, 2009)

Seats are scarce for travel in early summer, so we suggest August through late October. Good for travel 7-days a week, when available.

Boston/Phoenix $160 RT, including taxes (posted June 8, 2009)

This fare is good for travel 7 days a week, through May 5, 2010.

Washington DC/Denver $140 RT, including taxes (posted June 5, 2009)

This fare is available for weekend travel through spring 2010. Friday departures are difficult to book, and you'll probably have an easier time finding a Saturday departure.

Vancouver/Tokyo CAD$399 RT, including taxes (posted June 4, 2009)

As indicated above, price is in Canadian dollars. This fare is good for travel on select days in June, and is also available from Edmonton. Slightly higher fares are available for Calgary departures.

Philadelphia/Cedar Rapids $92 RT, including taxes (posted June 3, 2009)

We found this fare available even over the July 4th holiday! Not bad.

Los Angeles/Minneapolis $119 RT, including taxes (posted June 3, 2009)

Part of the current sale from Sun Country Airlines, now being matched by Northwest. Good for September/October travel.

Chicago/Rio de Janeiro $487 RT, including taxes (posted June 2, 2009)

This fare is easy to book through summer and into December.

Columbus/Las Vegas $180 RT, including taxes (posted June 1, 2009)

This fare is available through late April of 2010, but if you're hoping to travel this summer, keep in mind that seats are scarce. You'll have better luck booking for fall/winter/spring.

Yuma/Honolulu $241 RT, including taxes (posted May 29, 2009)

This fare is available on select dates from August through December, although those August dates are going fast.

New York/Paris $532 RT, including taxes, summer travel (posted May 28, 2009)

Ok, so there's a little trick to booking this one. When scanning the Orbitz calendar of available fares, the lowest you'll see is $741 round-trip. However, when you select the $741 fare, you'll see it drop to $532 on the following page. Très weird, but at almost $200 less, we won't complain.

Seattle/Toronto $1224 RT, business class, nonstop flights, including taxes, summer travel (posted May 27, 2009)

Air Canada is having a business class sale for summer travel. Travel July 1 to August 31 only. Interestingly, if you were to book this fare on Orbitz you'd see a slightly lower code share flight on United for $1139 RT including tax. One reason we like Orbitz is that its fare matrix makes it easy to identify code share flights. The same flight on Orbitz via Air Canada however would go for nearly $4000 RT! But if you book it on Aircanada.com, you'll quickly see the fare below.

Ft. Lauderdale/Washington DC $0 RT, nonstop flights, including taxes, June travel (posted May 25, 2009)

This fare is for travel June 1-15 and only available to Spirit Airlines' $9 Fare Club members who use promo code SAVE50. The promo code sale expires tonight, May 25, at midnight.

New York JFK/Cozumel $281 RT including taxes, winter travel (posted May 24, 2009)

Seldom has winter travel to Cozumel been this cheap.

Philadelphia/Palm Springs $211 RT including tax (posted May 22, 2009)

Available through April of 2010, for travel 7 days a week.
