Things to do and see in San Francisco, CA

When in San Francisco, enjoy a bowl of clam chowder at the historic waterfront Fisherman's Wharf district. While you're in the area, there's lots to do and see at the nearby Pier 39 and Ghiradelli Square. If you're looking to spend some time outdoors, view the Golden Gate Bridge from the Golden Gate National Recreation Area, which includes the infamous Alcatraz Prison Island.

Airfare Search Tips

Don’t assume that Travelocity, Orbitz, Expedia, and Sidestep all have the same fares.

They don’t. Especially on international fares, one of these online travel agencies could have a fare several hundreds less or higher than another. A few years ago, Travelocity was selling seats to London on Virgin for $400-$470 round-trip, taxes included, from east and west coast cities, even for peak summer travel. Those fares were only available on Travelocity,  (they weren’t even available on Virgin’s own site). So check all the online agencies, and use multi-site search engines such as Booking Buddy.
