| To all military personnel serving our country and retired military,
To all who read the email regarding my encounter with a military wife:
First of all, I would like to say, that I have family members, friends and neighbors who proudly serve in the military. I am in no way, shape, or form anti-military. I am a professional person, and would never say or even think the things this woman said I told her. She was already worked up when I answered her call, and wanted someone to pay for her frustration at the airport. She talked over me and refused to let me get a word in edgewise. I never even got her booking code or any other information regarding her itinerary. She was furious because she had to pay All Nippon Airlines an excess baggage fee (I never learned how much). She stated that her husband is in the military and protecting our country and therefore she should not have to pay excess baggage fees. I simply said that baggage charges had nothing to do with her husband’s military status. This sent her completely over the edge and our conversation went more south. I did tell her she was being rude, and that if she wanted me to help her, she needed to calm down. She refused, and demanded a written letter of apology and my full first and last name. She said she would get me fired, etc... I advised her to email our help desk if she wanted to. She then hung up on me.
I just want to let you know I have been a travel agent for over 25 years, and have never before, and never will say any of the things she is claiming below.
I want to sincerely apologize to anyone who read her poison-pen email and believed her. To think that another human being would say such things is unbelievable. It just goes to show you that you can’t believe everything you read on the internet.
Lastly, the company I work for is located in a very large naval area with tens of thousands of active and retired military personnel and that we service hundreds of military personnel every month. There are also several of my coworkers who are military wives or who have family currently serving. Again, please know that I never said the things of which I am being falsely accused of.

| WOW... I WAS NOT upset when I called, the problem I had was a simple question and you called me some very rude things. I NEVER said anything rude to you... FACT: question was in regards to weight allowance to baggage. Upon contacting ANA I had difficulty understanding the agent as she had a thick Japanese accent. I called Your company to ask for clarification and IMMEDIATELY was hit with "this is not our problem" I NEVER asked for compensation and NEVER intended to change or ask for a refund... the only thing I ma asking for NOW is an apology for several demeaning comments. I NEVER ask for favors or upgrades because of being a military wife and to loop me into the same categories as many who do was not a fair thing to do.
There have been several complaints about service in regards to Travelation... I am complaining about the customer service and especially the tactics used by you Donna Wood. I never asked for a refund and never intended to.. I needed clarification on baggage allowance and weight and already had called the airlines... as for speaking OVER people, I think you need some help with that! NEVER did she take a few seconds to listen to a question, for the first beat I was told I was the rudest person she had ever dealt EVER in her experience.. I can assure you THAT IS A LIE... I am VERY WELL KNOWN for keeping cool and not getting bothered by anything, but when you ATTACK the military and wives that support it... then you have overstepped your bounds...
During the phone call when you said things I repeated them back as I was copying them down.. you called me childish and stupid for doing that... I am glad I did. YOU HUNG UP the phone instead of answering a question... INSTEAD YOU decided to be childish and rude... more proof that customer service at Travelation needs serious improvement.

| Actually I could have cared less about a luggage fee, if you travel overseas as often as I have, then that is expected. I wanted clarification on the exact allowance. I DID mention military after she noticed my location returning to and assumed I WAS military...
TO say that ONE person is at fault is never correct.. she was not polite in the least bit.. I DID give her my Record locator and she said she could not find it...
She DID say those things and as she was saying them I stated I was writing them down.. repeated them to her and she called me childish...
She never informed me of a helpdesk.. Although.. I had previously read about it.
Thank you for now calling me a liar.. again.. it goes both ways!

| | If it's Not American Airlines then it is Continental, if not them then Travelation or good 'ole Motel 6............somehow "they are the worst" is a matter of opinion...........I did go round and round 3hours with a CO manager about rebooking my CEO on a flight out of Orlando when the last flight out of JAX for the day was flat out canceled, no notification or nothing! I stumbled on it myself. I could not get her to budge. And I too have been in the travel industry over 30 years. But my good old auditing techniques came to the for. I hung up, guzzled down a diet coke, called CO back 20 minutes later and got the nicest guy who said 'sure, we can do that, no it won't cost $450 and we'll upgrade your CEO (he has elite status) to First Class!' You catch more flies with honey than vinegar..............Oh, the CO manager was not rude but very inflexible, the guy who helped me was just a plain old rez. agent. Kudos to CO. Our CEO signed a contract for another year, if only that manager knew she about lost a huge account................so, let's give the reps a fare & square chance, shall we...............? | | | |

| Angel Flight, I have used Travelation.com for all my travels they have been amazingly tentative to me it wasn't back in 2007 but I've been loyal to them for all of 2008 and i book all my travel needs through them. I have never had an issue reaching a travel agent nor have they ignored my emails. I'm not certain if the came under better management but what i can say is since Feb 2008 i have never had any issues with them. Recently they revamped their entire site and I will be dead honest I have never seen a better more usable design, they went from this cluttered mess to a slick beautiful design Congratulations to the design team.

| Travelation is a SCAM !!! I work customer service for UAL and have for 19 years. I specialize in ticketing issues and rebooking customers and I can tell you from personal experience that Travelation is nothing but trouble. I have seen customers with problems ticketed by Orbitz, Travelocity, and Expedia and those companies have processes and personel to effectively deal with any problems. Stay with companies like them they have earned a good reputation. I have yet to see a Travelation problem turn out well or be fixed EVER !! Typically this is the scenario that occurs with Travelation : A customer comes to the airport to check in with a confirmation number from an e-mail they recieved. No itinerary or reservation exists. I search for all electronic tickets issued by their credit card and nothing is found. They call the credit card company and find that a charge has been made by Travelation, but no ticket number is associated with the charge. the passenger or myself try to call Travelation only to encounter a highly defensive and often verbally abusive representative who offers no help and no answers. They blame the airline and have no credible explanation to why a charge exists, but no ticket is ever issued. this hasn't just happened once or twice but a dozen or more times, and it is the same every time. Avoid Travelation at all costs, they are NOT a reputable company, they WILL take your money, and you will NOT get it back. how this company still exists is an amazement to me, a friend in law enforcement explains that internet fraud is very, very hard to prosecute. but make no mistake, Travelocity is fraud and a scam. | | | |

| | I too, will never use travelation. They use deceptive tactics to make it look like you are getting a good deal. I attempted to book a flight from St Louis to Las Vegas on 15 Aug 09. The flight was for 1 airline (Frontier) and the flight was for the 27th of Oct, and return on the 2nd of Nov. They initially showed great prices, however when I went fully through the whole ordering process (just before you click "PURCHASE") I noticed a fee of $195.20. Airline tickets were $405.58 + 195.20 for fees and taxes. The fees and taxes were 50% of the total price of the tickets. This is a sacm to unsuspecting buyers who don't look closely at what they are paying for. 50% of the total ticket price for taxes and fees is ridiculious. It was **CHEAPER** going directly through Frontier Airlines and even paying the agent a $20 booking fee for doing over the phone. | | | |

| I WOULD LIKE TO ADD MY INPUT ON TRAVELATION. TO ME AND MY FAMILY THEY HAVE BEEN THE BEST, LESS EXPENSIVE OF ALL TRAVEL SITES AND HAS THE BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLED REPS I HAVE FOUND. I USED TO USE NUMEROUS TRAVEL SITES AND IT ALWAYS TOOK HOURS TO COMPARE AND TO BE ASSURED I HAD THE BEST RATE I COULD OBTAIN. THEN I SAW TRAVELATION ON LIZ PULLMAN'S 100 BEST WEB SITES. (MSN MONEY-WHICH I READ FAITHFULLY DAILY) WELL THE REST IS HISTORY-I NOW USE THEM EXCLUSIVELY AND HAVE NEVER HAD ANY PROBLEMS-NOR BEEN OVERCHARGED-NOR RECEIVED ANYTHING BUT CARING ASSISTANCE FROM CALLING INTO THEIR EASY TO LOCATE CUSTOMER SERVICE PHONE NUMBER. IN FACT RECENTLY I MISSED A FLIGHT AND CALLED THEIR CUST SVC NUMBER TO REBOOK ANOTHER FLIGHT AND RESIGNED MYSELF TO I JUST LOST MONEY. THE CUSTOMER SERVICE REP REFUSED TO LET ME JUST GIVE UP AND GAVE ME INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW TO RESCHEDULE MY FLIGHT WITHOUT MAY I ADD PAYING ONE NICKEL OF ADDITIONAL FEES. I HAD TO GO STANDBY BUT THAT IS A HUGE DIFFERENCE FROM SPENDING AN ADDITIONAL 400.00 BECAUSE OF MY ERROR AND MISTAKE.(NO FAULT OF TRAVELOCITY WHO COULD HAVE SAID--LOT'S OF LUCK BUDDY---BUT DID NOT). AND AS FAR AS ANY FOREIGN REPRESENTATIVES, I HAVE SPOKEN WITH AT LEAST 3-4 AND THEY ALL HAVE SPOKEN PERFECT AMERICAN ENGLISH. I HAVE EVEN SPOKEN WITH DONNA WHO MAINTAINED OUT-STANDING SKILLS AND HAD A VERY PLEASANT DELIVERY OF INFORMATION AND ANSWERS TO MY MANY QUESTIONS. BY READING THESE COMMENTS-IT MAKES ME THINK WE ARE ON DIFFERENT WEBSITES AS I WILL REMAIN A FAITHFULL,LOYAL AND SATISFIED TRAVELATIION CUSTOMER UNTIL SOMETHING CHANGES FOR ME. THE ONLY DRAWBACK I HAVE WITH THEM IS THAT THEIR CUST SVC ASSISTANCE HOURS ARE NOT AVAILABLE 24 HRS.AND NO 800 #. ALSO MY UNDERSTANDING IS ALL THE EMPLOYEES HAVE SHARES AND HAVE BEEN EMPLOYED FOR LENGTHY PERIODS SO THEREFORE WOULD HAVE A PERSONAL INTEREST IN MAKING SURE CUSTOMERS ARE HAPPY AND WILL RETURN WITH THEIR BUSINESS AND REFER OTHERS.I HAVE ALSO NEVER FOUND LESS EXPENSIVE FLIGHTS THAN THEIR FARES.
