More news from Alaska Airlines: They'll soon begin flying nonstop from Oakland to Maui and Kona. Service starts November 9, and introductory fares begin at $169 each way. Those who frequently fly Alaska Airlines from Oakland can register to receive a 10% off discount code. Fly 4 flights or more from Northern California by September 30 and receive an additional 40% off discount code in mid-October.

Well whattaya know? Spirit Airlines is having another one of their wonky $1 fare sales. The catch? You must be a member of their $9 Fare Club to book those fares, and you'll also need to be pretty flexible with your travel dates in order to string together a round-trip. Still, it is possible. $9 Fare Club fares range from $1 for domestic flights to $109 for international destinations. For non members, fares are ranging from $44 to $184 for international destinations.

Alaska Airlines is souping up their service to Texas this summer, wtih two new nonstops to Austin. Service between Seattle and Austin will begin on August 3, and service between San Jose and Austin will begin September 2. Book your fare by July 16 to take advantage of their special introductory sale for these routes and flights connecting onward, with fares for as little as $89 each way and double miles earned. Sale fares are valid for travel between August 3 (or September 2 for San Jose) and November 17, and include:

Book by 11:59pm EST June 26 to take advantage of the latest $9 Fare Club sale from Spirit. Travel periods vary according to destination and require a 7-day advance purchase. Other non-member sale fares are available for travel between July 2 and November 15, and can be booked until June 30.

"Schlameel, Schlamazel, Hassenpepper incorporated!" Ok, so maybe Southwest won't be skipping down any Milwaukee sidewalks, singing the intro of Laverne & Shirely, but they will begin flying to/from Milwaukee's Mitchell International Airport on November 1.
Southwest will offer three daily round-trips to Baltimore/Washington and Kansas City, two to Las Vegas and Orlando, and one to Phoenix and Tampa.
Introductory sale fares are available for purchase by July 30, for travel November 1 through December 17, with blackout dates November 24-25, and November 20 - 30.

Sun Country is having a Fall Fares Sale with one-way fares for off-peak travel at $79, and peak travel fares at $99. These fares do not include any taxes or fees. Once you are at the airline's website, the displayed fares will already include any taxes and fees.
To/From Minneapolis/St. Paul (MSP) with the following destinations:
- Boston, Dallas/Ft.Worth, Ft. Myers, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, New York (JFK), Orlando, Phoenix, San Diego, San Francisco, Seattle, or Washington DC (Dulles).
Whew! The fine print on this fare is a little difficult to get through, especially the rules on what's peak and off-peak travel. Here are the rules:
Off-Peak Travel:
- from Minneapolis/St. Paul: flights from 12Noon Saturday through Wednesday.
- to Minneapolis/St. Paul: flights from Tuesday through Friday
Peak Travel:
- from Minneapolis/St. Paul: flights from Thursday through Saturday morning
- to Minneapolis/St. Paul: flights from Sunday through Monday
Travel is valid between September 8 through November 19, 2009. Purchase tickets at Sun Country by July 15, 2009.
